Roller derby fans, do we have an event for you!

Come and join the Burning River Roller Girls at 2 Bucks in North Olmsted Friday, Sept. 6 from 7 to 9 PM to celebrate the end of our outstanding season.

 We will be showing footage from our recent tournament in which the Burning River All-Stars fought hard, played smart and went up in ranking in our division.

For $20 you can join us in this very special celebration. Your ticket gets you three drinks, food and a lot of fun with some of your favorite skaters. Plus you’ll be supporting the hard-working athletes of Burning River as they prepare to wow Cleveland with a new season of roller derby action.

We’ll also have some great merchandise and raffle tickets on hand.

All bouts will be webcast live from WFTDA.tv. Kzoo is in the Eastern time zone, so there won’t be the annoying time conversions that D2 watchers had to deal with last weekend.

Anybody who’s interested in some friendly sports betting can enter the Bracket Bonanza with their predictions of tournament results. Winners get some prizes, but it’s also fun to see what other people have entered and do a little friendly competition with people you know.

Yes.  You’ve been thinking about it.  You’ve been working out.  You’ve been talking to others.  You are probably watching D2 playoffs right now and have filled out all of the Cheeseball Brackets.  Because you want to change your life.  And that’s what skating does: it changes your life.

We all come to roller derby for different reasons.  Some people want to get in shape.  Some people are looking for friends.  Some people want to challenge themselves to leave the house again.  Whatever the reason – now is your chance.
